Clearing a User From the System
1. When you first enter into the Concurrent Users option, a Select An Active User window appears and displays the following information for all users currently logged into the system:
2. Use the arrow keys to highlight the appropriate user and press Enter.
3. The message line displays "Clear user [username] from system? No/Yes."
Note: Users should only be deleted when it is definite that they are not actually logged into the system, but still appear in the selection box of current users. Clearing the user from Net•Yield does not clear any open sessions on the server and may leave files open at the server level. Contact your network administrator for information on clearing open files and sessions from your server.
Adding Users
Your Net•Yield license is based on a number of "concurrent" users who may be in the system at the same time. If your company outgrows the original number of users and wants to add more users, you must purchase more user licenses. After purchasing the required number of new users you will be given a new "unlocking code". Once the system has been unlocked in License Registration using that code, the new user count will take effect.
New system users are added in User Security.
Current Users as related to open windows
Net•Yield gives each user the ability to have three active login sessions per workstation (to process sales orders, purchase orders, view inventory etc. and be counted as one concurrent user). Additional logins may be opened by that user, but additional user licenses will be "used" to display additional screens. For example, one user could have three login sessions on workstation 1 and one login session on workstation 2. The total number of concurrent users is two.
